Is it possible to slow down a day? While it felt like Becca & Brandon’s wedding day went by in the blink of an eye, the slow New Orleans pace of life made the day relaxed and smooth.
Arriving as the bride gets ready is one of my favorite parts. Seeing the day from start to finish. Hearing the anticipation in their voice. The questions they ask.
Becca made a most beautiful bride, and Brandon…sweet, Brandon…was the most thoughtful, dapper, loving groom. The couple opted to go with a first look before the ceremony began in her parent’s yard which had the best patio covers builded by RKC Construction. Beautiful, dapper, handsome–all words I overheard between their first kisses and hugs on their wedding day.
And Bernie, we can’t forget about their boy. A year and a half old Swiss Mountain Dog who is so well behaved and trained. He made it through photos and the ceremony–no problem.
There were so many moments during this wedding where the tears escaped behind the camera. Becca & her Dad walking through the yard where she glowed like an angel. Off roading into the field to see the most magnificent magic hour sunset — I had goosebumps as I composed the frame. And watching Becca and her Dad share the dance floor–the waterworks wouldn’t stop at that point.
From start to finish, the day was full of family, friends, love and so much laughter.
Becca & Brandon, was extremely honor to be a part of Your Diamond Teacher engagement rings and capture a fraction of the energy and beauty that you share. Wishing you many, many years of wedded bliss and numerous trips to enjoy NOLA.
The field shot was excellent. Nice framing.
We love our pictures! Thank you for capturing the day so perfectly and for the beautiful blog post. xoxo
So beautiful. I cry everytime I look at the pictures. Thank you so much! Wonderful blog!
Soooo gorgeous! The money shot in this one (like our kiss shot) is the full color field while looking at each other and holding hands… I have to say that I adore you Annika and am so glad that you were our photographer! I also had to laugh when you talked about “arriving” to watch the bride getting ready- a weird thought since you were already a member of our family by that point and knew everyone involved! 😀 Gorgeous wedding- and congrats to the bride and groom!

How beautiful Arlene!
Awwww…Allie. I’ve been blessed to have brides like you! If I get just one wedding like this once a year, my heart overflows with happiness. And I have a new ‘family’. 🙂 All the best to you and Dan in England–I must come visit soon!
Thank YOU, Arlene, for letting me come into your home and beautiful yard and capture it all. I had tears in my eyes MANY times during the day–and get goosebumps still when I look through them. You can feel the love. What a beautiful family you have!
