Saturday night was spent dining at Maggie’s, and Sunday morning came quickly with the alarm set for 6:40am…right before sunrise. Again, clouds…but it cleared up as we got ready to head south. After a quick stop to acquaint me with a honeybee latte, we were off to one of my favorite farms on earth.
Blue Vista Farm. I could spend days here, picking blueberries, raspberries, and watching the grasses and flowers blow in the wind. Such a peaceful place.
On this perfect Sunday, the blue sky peeked through the clouds and graced the flowers with the sun.
On our drive south we stopped where the Onion River meets Lake Superior.
{another hint on our upcoming plans} A few hours into the drive we realized we’d go right by Copper Falls. Needing to get some “training” in, we took off on a hike around the falls. Beautiful sights.
As we enjoyed bluegrass music, planned future documentaries, and discussed our “training” plans…we noticed a glow come over the sky after the storm. To the west we saw this beautiful sunset and pulled off the freeway to capture this memory in time.
Here’s to our future, our dreams, our goals…an inspirational weekend with beauty swirling all around.
