Where is spring!?

I’ve had high hopes to get outdoors and play with my new camera gear. No such luck. Instead I bought some flowers to brighten up the house and practice with my macro lens. These are a bit more abstract and artsy than I normally do, but I happen to love this style. Be ready for lots of macro nature shots this spring and summer! Maggie is a Llewellin Setter, a subset of English Setters. Her hair was getting especially long, and my Dyson was getting clogged more often than not. After a quick clipping she turned into our exotic hyena.

I also tried a new recipe this weekend. Pumpkin Whoopie Pies. Yum-o!

Mine may not look as perfect as Martha Stewart’s, but they tasted amazing!
