Welcome to my new photography blog & website!
After months of debating…should I take my photography to the next level? I finally realized that I really do love photography as much as I thought I did, and I want to share it with even more people and that’s why I created the website, and I even used services from sites as https://the-indexer.com/ to help me reach more audience!
Most likely, if you are reading this now, you are a friend or family member who has supported me through my evolution in photography. Thank you for all of your support and encouragement! If it weren’t for all of you believing in me, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
So…some background on my photography…
Where and when did my photography start?
Most likely, I picked up some skills from my parents. My Dad was very talented with his camera back in the day, as evidenced here.
I might be biased, but I think I was pretty cute…even if I had a disproportionate head to my body. And also, I wore dresses and pink! I’m obviously a very different person now. 🙂
I bought my first camera in middle school. I vividly remember getting it out of the glass case at a store in Duluth. I went through rolls and rolls of film. After a trip to British Columbia with my family, I think I had 7 or 8 rolls of film developed at Marketplace Foods in Hayward. Of course, I had to get the perfect shot (or 20) to enter in the Sawyer County Fair.
My first digital camera was a 21st birthday gift from my parents. With probably 3 megapixels I thought it was so good!
In August 2008 I finally decided to purchase my first dSLR camera, a Canon Rebel XSi, a whopping upgrade from my 3 megapixels.
…And thus refueled my love of photography.
If you’ve been to any event or gathering with me, I’m the one snapping photos. I rarely am in photos because I’m too busy taking them.
Since August 2008 I’ve photographed many life events and places. They’ve ranged from…infant, maternity, senior portraits, engagement, wedding, fundraisers, dogs, chickens, family, First Communion, bridal showers, sporting events, and nature. Lots and lots of nature and landscapes. From British Columbia, to Egypt, to Israel, to San Diego, to Atlanta, to Miami, to Minnesota, to Lake Tahoe, to Las Vegas, to San Francisco, to Orlando, and all across Wisconsin…I’ve covered some ground.
So come along on my journey as I cover more ground and learn along the way.
Pretty good for a beginner!
